Cinematic Cerebration

Dear all,

here are this week's recommendations:

Worth Watching

While I'm personally still awaiting Guy Ritchie's sequel to his 2008 classic "Rock N Rolla", I've been enjoying his new series, "The Gentlemen", which has just arrived on Netflix. It's yet another showcase of Ritchie's entertaining, fast-paced, and stylized storytelling, featuring intricate plots, sharp dialogue, and a distinctive blend of action and comedy.

Worth Checking Out

Although you still have 3 months remaining to check it out, be quick to book your tickets for When The Sun Stands Still - an amazing way to start the day. You'll get an outside concert before sunrise in Munich: from a pianist playing on a vertically hanging piano 10 meters above ground! Get a glimpse of it on my latest Instagram post.

Worth Reading

For those intrigued by the mysteries of the mind, I delved into a summary of Daniel Kahneman's "Thinking, Fast and Slow" this week and found it fascinating. Kahneman explores the dual processes that drive the way we think: the fast, intuitive, and emotional System 1, and the slower, more deliberative, and logical System 2. It's a compelling read that challenges you to understand the complexities of human thought and decision-making. Highly recommended for a deep dive into our cognitive biases and how they shape our reality. For a quick insight before purchasing the book, check out these resources::
