Super Sopranos

Dear all,

my apologies for missing out again last week, but here are some superb sopranos you should really listen to live or on their brilliant recordings this coming week!

3 Operas To Attend

Barbara Hannigan's return as LULU to La Monnaie in Brussels has been met with rave reviews - you can still catch her until November 18. Tickets & Details
Same goes for Chen Reiss - three more chances to watch her as CALISTO at Teatro alla Scala until November 13. Tickets & Details
Personally, I can't wait to catch them both next week!
Only two more times, Lisette Oropesa will resume the role of VIOLETTA VALERY in Verdi's La Traviata at the Royal Opera House in London. Tickets & Details

2 Albums To Listen To:

Jeanine de Bique: Mirrors This album has everything you're looking for in a Baroque album, including three world premiere recordings. Listen here
Fatma Said: El Nour It was released a year ago and won practically every prize since then, including an OPUS KLASSIK and a Gramophone Award. Very well deserved in my opinion, probably the album with the most diverse repertoire out there. Listen here
